Meal prepping is a game-changer for those on the keto diet. Spend some time each day (keep it simple) and think about your meals for the next few days. This will save you time and energy AND when temptation or hunger strikes you will be ready for it! Always have something in your refrigerator, freezer or pantry. If you are out and about, have something with you at all times. At a bare minimum I carry Keto crackers, nuts and healthy protein bars in my purse. My saying about this is “Always be prepared and never get caught with your keto pants down”.

Keto Hack #2: Intermittent Fasting for Enhanced Results

Consider combining intermittent fasting with your keto diet to achieve even more significant results. Keto and fasting go hand-in-hand. Intermittent fasting can amplify fat burning and improve metabolic health. Experiment with different fasting schedules. Always change your fasting times and never do the same schedule every day. Listen to your body and do what works for you. A minimum I suggest is 13-14 hours and increase as you are less hungry.

Keto Hack #3: Staying Hydrated and Electrolytes

Proper hydration is crucial on a keto diet, but it's equally important to maintain a balance of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium). Stay hydrated and always add electrolytes (sweetened with stevia) at a minimum 2 x a day.

Exercise can enhance your keto journey and promote overall health. Low-impact activities like walking or yoga are excellent options. You can always add in strength training to help preserve muscle mass during weight loss.

While staying committed to your keto goals is essential, occasional treats can be part of a balanced approach. Practice mindful indulgence and make sure to add your keto-friendly treats to your diet so you don’t feel deprived.

The liver performs 400 different jobs in the body and having a healthy liver is important for hacking our metabolism. Restoring your liver function is one of the most important things you can do for overall health. The liver will naturally cleanse itself without chemicals and toxic foods. Take a break from alcohol for a few weeks every few months and let your liver rest. Alcohol will hold you back from getting and staying in ketosis. It’s particularly important to abstain during the first few weeks of starting a keto diet.
